AENOR accredited for Traceability and Recycled Plastic Content

AENOR is the first entity in Spain to be accredited by ENAC in the UNE-EN 15343 standard for the certification of the traceability of plastics and recycled plastic content.

Thanks to this accreditation, the AENOR certificate of Recycled Plastic Content can be used to benefit from the tax advantages provided for in the draft Law on Waste and Contaminated Soil, making it possible to reduce or eliminate this tax. 

To certify the traceability to the origin of the recycled material manufactured, the origin of the waste (pre-consumer or post-consumer) and the characterisation of the products are checked. The AENOR Recycled Plastic Traceability certificate is the impartial and independent means that allows recyclers to demonstrate the origin of their materials and facilitate their return to the value chain.

To certify the Recycled Plastic Content, both the origin of the raw materials (pre-consumer or post-consumer) and the dosage with respect to the virgin material are controlled.
