Renewal of Committee 001 Members

On April 16th, a key event took place for the AENOR-certified plastics sector: the elections to renew the seats of the members representing manufacturers on the AENOR Technical Certification Committee, CTC-001, for Plastic products.

This body is the cornerstone of the consensus-based certification process carried out within AENOR’s certification committees. This way of working ensures that in this key forum— where technical, normative, and regulatory issues are debated —a balance is maintained among the various stakeholders: manufacturers, users, and civil service. All with the common objective of addressing the sector’s genuine needs, thereby positioning AENOR certification for these products among the most sought-after in Spain and recognized in other countries, instilling confidence in public and private users, as well as the relevant authorities.

The selection of members is carried out through a vote by all valid AENOR Certificates holders of plastic products with a four-year term. Seeking to ensure both the continuity and the dynamism of the Committee, 50% of the positions are renewed every two years. The candidates who receive more support from the companies called upon to vote (each of the plants with valid certificates) for the products included within the scope of this Certification Committee will get that position.

In this election, the voting resulted in the reappointment of three members: Alicia Oncina (MOLECOR CANALIZACIONES S.L.), Elena Enguidanos (GF BFS division), and Jorge Vicente Sousa (Freitas & Silva S.A.), as well as the addition of María Rigueira (FITTINGS ESTANDAR, S.L.), who takes the seat that previously hold Andrés Morales (Neoperl Group), whom we would like to thank here for his participation to date.

The start of this new cycle highlights manufacturers’ involvement in the sector’s evolution, underscoring the value of their representation and collaboration within this AENOR’s Technical Certification Committee. As this new vote reinforces the Committee’s commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in certified plastic products, alongside manufacturers’ commitment to playing an active role in the process: we thank you all for your collaboration and dedication.

Congratulations to the winners!
