Transfer of the Presidency of CTC-001 Plastics. From Santos Santolino to Carlos Merodio

 

From these lines, we wish to express our well-deserved gratitude and, undoubtedly, our recognition of the indispensable figure in the history of plastic product certification in Spain, embodied by our dear Santos Santolino Martín.

Santos's career, jointly with the creation and development of plastics certification in Spain, and the entire history of the AENOR Plastics Committee, CTC-001, have been closely linked, as he has highly contributed to the success of this Committee.

Thank you, Santos, for over 50 years of tireless dedication to the plastics sector and to certification, working alongside AENOR's Technical Certification Committee CTC-001. You have been an essential part of every stage of the conformity assessment process, from developing specifications and new solutions, to conducting the initial factory inspections, performing and supervising tests, and finally, since 2000, serving with excellence as president of the AENOR first Technical Committee.

AENOR has had the privilege of benefiting from your extensive knowledge, learning from you, and witnessing your exceptional character. Thank you for your leadership, an example of rigor, professionalism, independence, and competence—values ​​that have defined these 25 years of your presidency and left an indelible mark.

We would also want to take this opportunity for thanking Carlos Merodio Barriocanal to assume the presidency of the Committee.

In addition to his vast experience in the sector, Carlos has served on this Committee as a representative of manufacturers for 25 years. His professional background ranges from raw material manufacturing in the petrochemical industry to the processing industry as a pipe manufacturer.
